5th Annual Play for the Cause

This is the 5th year we are hosting this tournament where all money raised is donated directly to a family in need from our league.

This year the cause will be held for the Torres Family from Berlin. Addison and Kylie Torres both play for Berlin's program. Their mother, Chrissie, has been battling primary myelofibrosis, a rare and chronic blood cancer for over four years.  Recently, Chrissie received devastating news: she has now also been diagnosed with Lymphoma, a second, aggressive cancer that required immediate and intensive treatment. As part of Chrissie's treatment, she will be away from her home and family for 3 to 4 months.  We are going to be donating all proceeds to this family to help Chrissie support her family while going through treatment and not being able to work.

At the tournament there will be T-shirts available for purchase if you were unable to take advantage of the pre-order.  There will also be 50/50 sales where 50% of the ticket sales will go directly to the family in need.  If you are unable to attend the tournament and would still like to donate to this family, you can Venmo @ashleymorrell13. (last 4 digits 7536).  Please include the word "donation" in the Venmo if you decide to do this.

West Deptford will also be collecting old/used sneakers, cleats, and athletic shoes to donate and get recycled.  The bags for donation will be located at the head table which will be located by the Field Hockey Field.

There will be vendors at the event - HerSport, Trend Field Hockey, and Stick Style Bracelets, as well as food sales.
